We have developed a series of apps for Berlingske Media - Berlingske, B.T., Euroinvestor, and Weekendavisen.

The four apps are variants of the same technical solution. All apps add functionality to existing websites such as push notifications, podcast playback, article reading aloud, and integration with various features in the Android and iOS operating systems.The advantage for Berlingske Media with this solution is that only the already established websites need to be maintained, and the extra native functionalities are then added on top of the editorial content.

The benefits for the users include much better audio playback – especially when the app is running in the background, for instance, while they are in traffic, at the gym, or doing something entirely different. Furthermore, the app can receive breaking news via push notifications and is more accessible on the phone.

Having a presence on the user's phone as an app and on the Apple App Store and Google Play is also a clear advantage for Berlingske Media.

The solution is designed so that the different apps are variants of the same source code.
