This Public Key Infrastructure, developed by a collaboration of Norwegian banks in 2004, was designed to provide customers with a unified infrastructure.
Over the years, Shortcut has closely collaborated with BankID, working on numerous features within the iOS architecture and product development of the BankID app. In the most recent launch of the newest version of the BankID app in 2023, users could use biometric features on their mobile devices, such as FaceID, TouchID, and passcode on iOS and fingerprints and PIN codes on Android devices. These enhancements allow for even more secure identity verification.
