The app uses video, images, GIFs, emojis, sound effects, and animation to communicate news at eye-level. Ultra Nyt+ makes news relatable for the kids by delivering them in an easy, engaging, and attractive format.
Taking the kids seriously. The team behind the Ultra Nyt+ app has created a solution which provides a safe and inclusive environment for the kids. In this app, kids can contribute with their thoughts, opinions, and questions and see input from their peers, which facilitates a sense of community among the kids. The app's content is updated several times a day and provides an objective, varied, and reassuring perspective on the news.
Made in close collaboration between DR, the user experience agency 1508, and Shortcut. The app is based on a key concept and design by DR and 1508 created with exceptional and thorough user involvement.
Shortcut has been responsible for developing the web tool for editors at DR and the apps for iOS and Android, all with a supreme focus on user experience, performance, and safety. The entire team is proud to have made a safe platform that focuses on informing and educating the kids on what is going on in the world.
