Mazed is a social platform app developed in Denmark that fosters deeper relationships between the sender and recipient by enabling them to communicate through more than just words. Users can create mazes that come to life and can be played, adding a unique dimension to their messages. This platform provides a space for a community of individuals to connect, inspire each other, and express their creativity in a fun and immersive way.

The app is the first of its kind in making messaging uniquely personalized. It’s like making a greeting card and puzzle-box for your close ones. At Shortcut, we’re truly proud to have been part of the Mazed project. We weren’t merely helping a company make an app - we were helping an individual realize a year-long dream and ambition.

With Mazed, we’ve fused game-like elements into a social media application. The navigation and use of the app have a unique feeling, but are still useful for the users. Creating Mazed was one of those challenges that we love. One of the most challenging parts has been ensuring that the maze builder and solver/player felt “right” in the hands of the user.

Shortcut has handled the technical development of the app for both iOS and Android, while Oimachi has been in charge of the design.
